Full time bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering or Diploma in Fabrication Technology from Sir BPTI Polytechnic, Bhavnagar with at least 15 years experience in a construction site involving site fabrication and erection of API storage tanks, mounded pressure vessels, large pressure vessels or columns.

Hands on knowledge of plate rolling, edge preparation, fit up, welding (arc, tig, CO2, SAW), NDE, PWHT, hydro test, heavy lift / rigging, blasting and painting (or) pickling and passivation, scaffolding, tank calibration etc. is a must. Must have worked with carbon steel and various grades of stainless steels. Good drawing reading skills, comprehension, numerical skills, analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Must be able to manage and lead the site construction team of about 15 management staff and 200+ workmen. Must be able to manage site fabrication and erection, quality and safety management on site, monthly billing, progress scheduling, monitoring and reporting, attending review meetings with client / owner, manage local purchases and maintain accounts.

Candidates from other unrelated backgrounds or unrelated industries would not qualify for this position. This position is not open for general diploma holders. Diploma in Fabrication Technology from Sir BPTI is an exception.
